Newsflash

Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, buses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.

Warhawk

Warhawk Review for 300Sixty.com by Inph Take the highway to the Danger Zone… and enjoy the ride. For PS3 owners, there are plenty of things that you can say to express how you are happy with your investment. You have a Blu-Ray player. You can brag about the Cell Processor. The one thing that you’d have a hard time explaining is the lack of quality games for your system. Not saying that some of the games that are available (Ninja Gaiden Sigma, F.E.A.R., MLB 07: The Show, Heavenly Sword) aren’t great games, but the current library of killer apps pales in comparison to the PS3’s most direct competition.  Initially, Warhawk was to focus heavily on the single player story, and also uncover the potential for the Sixaxis controller. Somewhere during the production of the game, the folks at Incognito ditched the single player storyline all together and redirected the spotlight on multiplayer gaming. The result is one of the most intense and enjoyable multiplayer modes seen in console gaming to date.  From the onset as a new recruit, you are able to select your default team (Eucadian or Chernovan) customize your character and your Warhawk (or Nemesis. More on what these are later). Briefly, the Eucadians have the look of WWII era soldiers and vehicles, while the Chernovans have more of a futuristic look to characters and vehicles. These customizations are purely cosmetic and have no bearing on game play. The only thing that matters is that you have those who are not on your team, and you have the task of taking them out in a myriad of ways.
